10th grade home-schooled

10th grade home-schooled, who will take Algebra II this year, came to tutoring for extra review of Algebra I. We continued our work on a lengthy old state End of Course test for Algebra I. He has been doing great on this by recalling much of his learning from last year.

A rising 6th grade math student

A rising 6th grade math student worked on the first of his grade level’s workbook. We did some addition of five multi-digit problems with some having decimals and some dollars. We did subtraction practice where borrowing was needed. And we did multiplication samples with one digit time’s five digits, two digits time’s two digits and three digits time’s three digits. We also worked on word problems for each of the above problem types.

A rising 10th grade home-schooled

A rising 10th grade home-schooled Algebra II student came for his tutoring lesson. We spent our time today continuing our review of old state End of Course Algebra I tests since his text book for Algebra I was a poor one. He did excellent work today.

A rising 8th grader, who is changing schools from a private system to a charter school, was here for his first real tutoring session. We began by working problems on an old state End of Grade test since he had never taken one and he would have something similar this year. He was able to work all problems correctly.
